Emanate Demonstrates ‘Less Talk, More Action’ Approach to Client Service With Addition of Two New Executives

 Agency Grows Leadership in Consumer and Financial Marketing 

NEW YORK, August 7, 2012 – Emanate welcomes two new executives to its New York-based team.  Marissa Mastellone will serve as Vice President on the agency’s KFC account, while Ryan Barr joins as a Vice President on Bank of America’s Consumer Bank business.

“Together, Marissa and Ryan bring over 30 years of experience in consumer and financial communications,” said Kiersten Zweibaum, managing director.  “This invaluable expertise will continue to help Emanate identify the shortest path to success for our clients, while expanding the integrated marketing capabilities that drive measurable results.” 

In her role on the KFC team, Mastellone will coordinate product launches, provide media relations strategy, and manage brand integrations.  She will also lead the development of 360 degree marketing campaigns with KFC’s creative, advertising, and digital agencies.  In addition to KFC, Mastellone will lend her expertise in consumer public relations to Emanate’s other consumer accounts including Philips, Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, and Celebrity Cruises.  Mastellone brings 12 years of experience in designing and implementing public relations campaigns for global consumer and lifestyle brands including Kraft Foods, Delta Air Lines, and W Hotels, among others.  Her media relations background has helped her establish relationships with journalists, editors, and producers around the globe.

Mastellone joins Emanate after years at DKC Public Relations & Integrated Marketing, where she built and executed multi-year press strategies for a broad range of consumer, lifestyle and corporate accounts.

Barr joins Emanate from The IGB Group, where he served as Managing Director.  At Emanate, Barr will lead strategic initiatives for Bank of America’s Consumer Bank, including external communications programs across new and traditional media.  In his nearly two decades of experience, Barr has represented and partnered with clients such as Atari, Bloomberg, Emirates Airlines, Yahoo! Finance and Zurich Financial Services, among others.  Previously, Barr served as Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Communications at Hill & Knowlton in New York where he ran the agency’s Financial Communications practice.  In his role, Barr was co-head of the Corporate Group and oversaw a team of communications professionals responsible for a portfolio of companies across multiple industries, including Financial Services, Alternative Energy, Travel & Hospitality, Technology, Media and Entertainment.
